Bringing Light into Darkness

This is Jennifer, Bryan's wife posting a quick Haiti update. There are, as usual, so many stories about God's incredible love and compassion. The last time Bryan was in Haiti, he felt darkness, despair and hopelessness. This time, God showed him that because we have the spirit of God IN us, we carry His light. As Bryan walked through the slums, and stared into the faces of despair, he was able to shine God's light and walk without fear. At Northwest Haiti Christian Mission, they saw over 600 patients in 5 days, and handed out almost 400 pair or prescription glasses, and hundreds of reading and sunglasses.
He went to the prison to help feed the prisoners, and was able to pray with four incarcerated Haitian men to receive Christ and leave them a Bible. Thankfully, one of the four men in the cell could read, and now they can feast on God's word when there is no food.
You would think these trips would get easier as Bryan gets more experienced in his travels, but they actually get more difficult. There are more faces to remember, more pictures of abject poverty, more realization that there is so much to do.
But...Bryan continues to be faithful and prayerful, and a laid down servant of our God. God's Eyes belongs to God...we're just trying to go where He wants us to go, and do what He wants us to do.

My wife and I had a great time ministering in Haiti with Bryan and look forward to more opportunities in the future.
